What are the effects of Psilocybin on the brain

Many studies are showing the effects of Psilocybin increasing communication across the brain.

Researchers at Imperial College London gave 15 participants Psilocybin. Then they watched what happened in an fMRI machine. The results were striking. Placebo left and people given Psilocybin (right).

Results show that when under the influence of Psilocybin brain regions that are not usually functioning together are suddenly talking to each other–taking part into the same cognitive process.

Homological scaffolds of brain functional networks

Microdosing research reveal promising benefits for mental well-being, creativity and problem-solution thinking. In 2018 the Dutch Psychedelic Society examined the effects of Psilocybin. Results show that both convergent and divergent thinking performance was improved after a non-blinded microdose.
